Many trains late due to fog

Due to fog in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, trains passing through here are running late by hours. Even on Sunday, more than 20 trains were delayed by up to 9 hours. This caused problems to passengers at the stations. Children faced more problems due to cold. Due to heavy rush of passengers at the station, the waiting rooms got filled. The passengers were forced to sit on the ground on the platform.
Railway Commercial Manager Prashasti Srivastava said that fog has affected the operation of trains. On Sunday, Puri-Yoganagari Rishikesh Utkal Express reached Agra late by 9 hours, Agra Fort-Lucknow Intercity by 7.30 hours, Visakhapatnam-New Delhi Superfast Express by 6.27 hours. Prayagraj-Bikaner Superfast Express arrived late by 6.05 hours, Patna-Kota Express by 4.45 hours, Bangalore-New Delhi Karnataka Express by 4.05 hours.
Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express and Firozpur-Mumbai CST Punjab Mail 3-3 hours, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Mumbai CST Rajdhani Express 2.47 hours, Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express 2.40 hours, New Delhi-Rani Kamlapati Station Shatabdi Express 2.10 hours, Trivandrum-New Delhi Kerala Express reached Agra late by 1.11 hours, Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express by 1.17 hours, Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Mangala Express and Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Lakshmibai Jhansi Gatimaan Express by 1 hour each.
